Kelly Rowland is ready to forgive her estranged father, and wants to meet him this Christmas.

The 'Down for Whatever' singer has not met her father, Christopher Lovett, since she was a seven, after her mother walked out on him when he turned to drink after losing his job, but now she thinks it is important to "forgive" him.

Speaking on the UK version of 'The X Factor', which will air tomorrow (19.11.11), Kelly says: "It's really important just to forgive my father. I want to meet him this Christmas, because now is the time, because tomorrow's not promised to us.

"I think it's important to forgive people and we move on, we have to. The pain is there, of course it will be there, and it's important to know that forgiveness is the first step towards healing it all."

Christopher, 65, reached out to Kelly earlier this year, asking for forgiveness and saying he wanted to be a father to the ex-Destiny's Child singer and 'X Factor' judge.

Giving his account of what happened, he said: "Kelly, I love you with all my heart. Please forgive me and let me be your dad again.

"I lost my job at a transportation company, sank into a depression about money and began drinking more and more. The failure to provide for my family fuelled an anger that I will be ashamed of until my dying day. It wasn’t physical between me and Kelly’s mom, but there were many days and nights when Kelly would be bawling her eyes out.

"I really hoped I would get to make it up to her. Sadly I am still waiting for that day. But I can’t give up hope."

Kelly was happy to hear from her father after so long, but wishes he had been more discreet in trying to contact her.

She said: "He reached out to me, saying he wanted to see me but it's unfortunate he did it so publicly."

Kelly is a mentor to the girls on 'The X Factor', and will be seen talking to Misha B, who has suffered similar emotional problems after being abandoned by her mother as a baby.

The pair fell out because Irish wannabe Janet was left feeling “unloved and ignored” by mentor Kelly, who she believed had snubbed her in favour of Misha B.

Things got so bad they didn’t speak for FIVE DAYS. But now there’s an “uneasy truce” between the duo after The X Factor judge treated her girls – Janet, Misha B and Amelia Lily – to a relaxing spa trip.

Destiny’s Child star Kelly, 30, said: “We hung out. Everything is fine. I took them out because I definitely had to give them a breather ahead of this weekend.”And Janet yesterday insisted the rift was healed. The 17-year-old said: “I’m not going to lose touch with her. She looks after us so well that you can’t break that bond that you’ve made throughout the show.”

Kelly admitted her girls needed the break, adding: “The pressure’s really on. I want the girls to go back to the way they felt when they first got here. And they are. They’re in that same place because they know how good things are now. They’re just hungry and they can’t wait to get back to rehearsals.

“It has been a breath of fresh air. It’s good to take a break away.”

Kelly Rowland blew viewers away with her sexy, yet classy, black dress with plunging neck-line when she appeared on the X Factor live shows on Sunday.

The TV judge was the epitome of elegance as she let the dress do the talking rather than wearing a garish number.

The fit was just right, hugging Kelly's silhouette while cascading at the bottom of the dress giving a 'mature woman' edge. There was no fear from Ms Rowland as she revealed her sexy side letting the front of the dress show her generous cleavage.

Black patterned bangles were a nice accessory to the outfit.

Sometimes things just have to be left to the imagination - but Kelly fails to do that in this semi-transparent black top worn after the live shows on her way home.

The remainder of the outfit does very little to take eyes away from Kelly's hefty bust, which despite being semi-hidden, was still pretty much visible.

As outfits go, this wasn't the most classy choice for the singer who had paparazzi chasing her as she left the studios, getting a bit too excited with their cameras.

The black cardigan, blue skirt, see-through top and yellow necklace were just a mish-mash that was never going to work - perhaps Kelly's body confidence was a bit too high that night.

X Factor judge Kelly Rowland can't stop flashing the flesh - after her battle of the boobs with Tulisa last night, Kelly bared her assets again in a see-through top.The singer's first major fashion boob came in August, when the former Destiny's Child star accidentally exposed her nipples on stage after a major wardrobe malfunction.

The American songstress appears scantily-clad for the majority of the video, using topless hunks as props throughout.

Kelly has collaborated with US rapper Big Sean, who is rarely seen in the clip. Instead, Kelly writhes and grinds with the muscular models.

The seductive video also features a baby elephant.

Kelly's newest promo was directed by Sarah Chatfield, who was also at the helm of Kelly's last single Motivation with Lil Wayne. The sexy dancing in the video was masterminded by Frank Gatson Jr. - the man behind many of Beyoncé Knowles' iconic video moves.It is believed that Kelly filmed this sultry promo and the one for single Down For Whatever back to back.

Her money problems were also brought to light late last year when word came out that the Grammy winner owed the government nearly $100,000 in unpaid taxes.

While she has not publicly spoke about the state of her finances, her career remains at the forefront of her priorities. These can range in price, and some tea houses are really tourist traps whose main goal is to milk you of your money, so be careful. You can get a free tea demonstration at most Tenrenfu tea houses which are located throughout the city and at some malls. In Beijing, that is now leading the country’s cultural revival, also remember that a tea can be sipped while watching martial arts and acrobatics. What the hell is this? Some teahouses have recently reappeared showing a variety of Beijing Opera and traditional shows and there you will be served delicious selections of tea and cakes too. Although Western influences have been embraced to transform traditional Chinese art forms into contemporary pieces, it’s still possible to get a taste of some traditional theatre, such as story-telling to musical accompaniment, magic shows and acrobatics daily at the Lao She Chaguan, Da Wancha Building and at the Tianqiao Happy Teahouse.

Good coffee is hard to find in most parts of China, although addicts have a place to retreat now that Starbucks has at least 50 spots in the capital, most situated around shopping malls and in commercial districts of the city.

The most popular Chinese beer, which is also quite good, is Qingdao. You can get it for 10-20 yuan or just 2-3 from a street vendor whilst the main beer brand of Beijing is Yanjing (10-15 yuan at restaurants, 2 yuan on the street).

Wine made in China are considered not drinkable by most foreigners, but it is also true that it’s not their traditional drink. Just give them 10 years and they will come up with it too! If you wish to have a hint on what to eat and drink together, don’t forget Beijing is famous for its Roast Duck. It is well served at many restaurants with thin pancakes, plum sauce and slivers of scallions and cucumbers. You dip the duck in the sauce and roll it up in the pancake with a few slivers of scallions and/or cucumbers. The end result is a mouth-watering combination of the cool crunchiness of the cucumber, the sharpness of the scallions, and the rich flavours of the duck. Well served with a cool Qingdao Beer! Beijing is also known for its lamb hotpot (shuàn yáng ròu), which is a funny cook-it-yourself affair in a steaming pot in the centre of the table featuring a savoury, non-spicy broth. To play it safe and satisfy everyone, you can request yunyáng for a pot divided down the middle, with spicy broth on one side and regular broth on the other.

On a last but useful note, keep in mind that during Olympic games everything is going to be much expensive from food to accommodation and comparable to western rates. Do not fear to haggle: is essential especially in touristy markets, shopping areas, etc. Example youth hostels that used to sell a bed night for 3 euros, now they sell it for 20-30 euros. So, what about International hotel chains?? Worse than worse.

But if you are looking for a typical still clean and affordable accommodation while in China’s capital you can try to look for the following budget hotels, guest houses ( B&B or Bed and breakfast) and international youth hostels that kept decent prices.

There are, however, some obvious differences between Mexico and other countries that might come across as a bit uncouth, unfamiliar or strange. But recognizing and abiding by them can increase the chance that you thwart any sickness and remain the fine specimen for health that you already are.

Medical experts will ramble off a scary list of precautions and what-if scenarios, but of them, only a handful is still relevant and worth glancing over.

Before you leave…

• Look over your health insurance policy to see how your provider will cover you outside the country.
• Visit travel.state.gov to make sure you're up to date with your vaccines—chance's are strong that you are, but who wants to be that 1-in-a-million statistic?
